Where have you been?

Disney World:

--KitKat956: I have a timeshare with Disney and both Brian and I love Disney so it was the perfect match for us. We are staying at the Beach Club Villas which is near Epcot. The one big slurge for our honeymoon is the dolphin swim at Discovery Cove. Everyone that we have met that has visited Discovery Cove has said it's amazing and worth every penny so we went all out for that. I just can't wait!

Hawaii:

--Rblucy: We spent 4 nights on Oahu at the Hyatt Regency at Waikiki Beach. It was nice but I liked the Outrigger across the street a little better. Waikiki was a little too citylike for me but I enjoyed our day trip to the north shore. Then we went to Maui for 6 nights which I loved! We stayed at the Hyatt Regency there too and it was amazing. It is one of the hotels in Ka'anapali and it was a great location. I loved everything about Maui! If you can afford it, I def suggest Hawaii. It was beautiful and totally worth it!

--Foxyjean911: We stayed at the Marriot in Waikiki, Oahu and loved it. The location was awesome, right across from the beach. It is a very busy city and extremely expensive. My best tip would be to not get a rental car for your entire stay. There a shuttles to just about everything and the hotel charged $30 a day to park + tax. Then Expedia didn't charge all the rental fees and tax up front, so that was also an additional charge when we left. We enjoyed our drive around the island, especially the North Shore, but we should have just got the rental for that one day. It sat in our hotel garage for the rest of our stay.

--Siobhanny7: Waikiki Beach for the first 5 nights - a week on an NCL cruise so we can see all of HI and then one night back in Waikiki. Out of my mind excited!

Exellence Playas Mujueres(near Cancun, Mexico):

--Ktwed09: I cannot say enough about how wonderful it was! So relaxing, the resort was amazing, and the food was great! I'm dying to go back!

Aruba:

--Princess91309: OMG I want to live there, LOL!! We stayed at marriot Ocean Club, we traded our Disney Timeshare (DVC). Beautiful weather, great tours, but very, very expensive. Would I go again, yes, DH at first said no but now that we know the money saving tricks, the do and the dont's, he said he would. Food was sooo good, we ate at some amazing places. Did some awesome tours, wish we did more. If you want anymore info, page me on the boards, or message me on FB.

A Little Different Then Everyone Else:
--Lawyer707:we did two nights in Honolulu at the Moana Surfrider Hotel on Waikiki Beach, then a hawaiian and tahitian cruise followed by two night in overwater bungalows, one in the Intercontinental Moorea and another at the Intercontinental Tahiti. The cruise we went on was ok... there were a lot of old people and about 20 honeymooning couples. We met 2 couples that were really nice. They had just had the earthquake in Samoa, so the water was REALLY rough which meant the small ship (only 600ish passengers) rocked quite a bit. Also, because it was so small, there was much less to do. However, the food was great and we had a lot more interaction with staff because it was so small.

For ports:

Hawaii

Kauai- was really pretty and green. Best for the adventurous couple! We went cave tubing which was really fun!

Maui- the prettiest island in Hawaii in my opinion. Very mountainous. We went snorkeling and saw sea turtles

Hilo- it rains a lot there, but the tour we went on was REALLY cool! We saw lava trees, a natural hot springs, a black sand beach, and walked on frozen lava. We also got a glimpse of the steam from the active part. However, you can only view the flows after 5PM and only at one point a mile away. These restrictions began this year due to people getting injured.

French Polynesia

Bora Bora- probably the most deserted of the islands. It was very beautiful and those that stayed at hotels on the island said they were amazing. I really liked
French Polynesia much better than Hawaii... probably because it was not as built up. We did the aqua safari helmet dive, which was so much fun. Much better than the one we did in Bermuda. We saw hundreds of fish and pet a stingray.

Moorea- we did a 4X4 Jeep tour on the cruise and then stayed at the Intercontinental. The jeep tour was lots of fun. We climbed magic mountain for views of the ridiculously blue water (it looked like a postcard), visited a garden, saw land crabs, pineapple fields, and got some free shots! The intercontinental had very nice views, but the overwater bungalow was pretty small. Also, really only the porch was over the water as the bungalow was built on the ground, not on poles. We did do lots of fun things such as dolphin swimming (apnea does a
dolphin swim where the dolphin pulls you underwater), viewing sea turtles at the rehab center, swimming right off our bungalow and feeding the fish with bread, and we had our breakfast canoed to us.

Tahiti- They ferry to and from Moorea was a little confusing because you had to place your luggage in big bins, but we figured it out eventually. We stayed at the intercontinental also in Tahiti. Our overwater bungalow was amazing with large tub and wrap around porch, but Papeete is very croweded and city-like. There were also TONS of bugs when we first got there. Apparently they come out around sunrise and sunset. We also took in the dinner show with buffet. The food was ok since I don't eat seafood, but Mark loved it. The show was good too, but it was in Tahitian and French so most people couldn't understand it (I speak french so I could). Also, even the airport is really pretty! All in all, a wonderful honeymoon!

Costa Rica:
--AmyRaposiero: We went to Costa Rica for 8 days and LOVED it. The first half of our trip was spent at an all inclusive on the Pacific Coast. The weather was beautiful, the food was fresh from the area and delicious, and the people were so friendly. We met a lot of other honeymooners that we hung out with at night as well. The second half of our trip was spent inland in the rainforest by Arenal Volcano. Unfortunately, it rained for most of this part of the trip and we couldn't see the volcano until the end of the trip, but it didn't ruin our time there. Our hotel, Tabacon, was located right on the hot springs, which were awesome to go in, rain or shine, and we also were able to get a true rainforest experience. The hotel is also a "leading spa of the world" so we had amazing massages in one of the huts in the rainforest. This resort was beautiful but very expensive. We are planning a Euro Trip for next summer for our 1 year anniversary/2nd honeymoon. I can't wait!
